NatWest CricketForce is a great weekend where club members, local businesses and the community come together to undertake various projects around the club. These include painting, general repairs, ground work and other activities in preparation for the season ahead. At Sherwood Cricket Club we have been involved since 2008 with NatWest CricketForce and have undertaken many activities as below:
In 2013, we are yet to embark on our project of repairing the Garage roof and guttering, installing LED lighting throughout the clubhouse and undertaking numerous grounds work and many general tidying up and cleaning tasks. This April we will hope to have the regional NatWest staff assisting us again.
2012 - Unveiled our Queen Elizabeth II Fields in Trust plaque with the Mayor of Medway, painted club house and changing rooms, hallway, kitchen, general repair work, installed additional loft insulation, PIR sensors in changing rooms and toilets and Sky Sports;
2011 - Building a new patio and re-painting the clubhouse hallways and changing rooms, laying carpet tiles throughout the Away changing rooms and hallway;
2010 - Re-painting the entire clubhouse, including changing rooms, bar, toilets and kitchen, laying carpet tiles in the Home changing rooms;
2009 - General groudnswork, cutting down old trees and bushes, tidying the car park, preparing the square for the season and painting the changing rooms;
